Joselyn Dumas Opens Up About Her MoMo Scam Experience

You might think famous folks never fall for everyday tricks, but Joselyn Dumas just proved that is completely wrong. The Ghanaian actress recently lost a serious chunk of cash to a sneaky mobile money trick. She just wanted to upgrade her TV subscription when everything went sideways.

The whole mess kicked off when she messaged someone she thought actually worked for DStv. That fake rep quickly asked for her decoder details and her mobile money PIN. She handed them over, and her digital wallet was instantly wiped clean.

Joselyn Dumas shared exactly how fast it happened, saying, “As soon as I said to him that was my number, I felt a vibration on my phone. All my money was emptied… he was able to get into my MoMo app.” The thieves kept pulling cash even after she recovered her login and deposited fresh funds.

She wants everyone to stay sharp when handling digital payments. Her advice is simple and direct: “Never give your MoMo PINs, and always verify who you are dealing with.” Taking two seconds to double-check can easily save your hard-earned cash.
