Imagine being a huge success in the business world, only to have your reputation questioned later. That’s the tough spot former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta is in right now.

Gabriella Tetteh from the NDC thinks it’s time for him to step up and clear his name. She believes that holding a big government job means you have to be open to a lot of scrutiny.

Tetteh pointed out his impressive background in investment banking. She said, “I don’t think a man of his calibre should allow himself to be dragged like this.”
She argues that laws and accountability matter more than which political party you belong to. As she put it, “When you take public office, you must accept that you are accountable to the people.”
