The President explained that his family’s move to the neighborhood was a practical decision made after experiencing difficulties in finding an appropriate rental property that met their needs. He noted that the specific house they occupy is owned by a private individual who placed the property under the management of Chain Homes for the purpose of renting it out.
In a light-hearted moment during the interaction, President Mahama joked that if he truly owned the entire estate, the other residents would technically be living in their homes illegally.
