Former Ghana Premier League Top Scorer Hans Kwofie Killed in Car Crash

The Ghanaian football community is in mourning following the tragic death of veteran striker Hans Kwoffie, who lost his life in a fatal car accident on Friday.

The 35-year-old was reportedly traveling to his hometown of Dompim Pepesa when his vehicle crashed in the town of Dadwen. Reports indicate that Kwoffie died instantly at the scene of the accident, which involved a car belonging to former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak defender Samuel Nzemaba.

Kwoffie was a highly respected figure in the domestic game, known for his clinical finishing and veteran leadership. Throughout a distinguished career, he represented several prominent clubs, including Medeama SC, Bechem United, Legon Cities, and AshantiGold, where he famously finished as the Ghana Premier League top scorer in 2017.

He also gained international experience during a stint with the Egyptian side Smouha SC, cementing his legacy as one of the most consistent forwards in West African football over the last decade.
