Doesn’t Samira Bawumia have a child?” He argues that if the children of the flagbearer themselves don’t engage in such insults, ordinary members have no reason to do so on their behalf.
The consequences of such blind loyalty can be permanent and devastating. Rashad recalls a tragic event from 2016, stating, “I remember, not long ago, a young man died foolishly after taking part in a demonstration that took place in 2016. He is dead and gone. If you die foolishly, we will bury you foolishly.” He warns that risking one’s life or freedom for political optics is a losing game.
