Faith often asks for sacrifices that seem illogical to the outside world. For Prophet Badu Kobi, the founder of Glorious Wave Church International, this meant parting with his only means of transportation. His decision to give away his final vehicle has sparked conversations about trust and divine providence.
This wasn’t a sudden impulse, but rather the culmination of a long-term practice of generosity. Before this specific event, the man of God had already let go of most of his personal fleet. He found himself in a position where he relied on a single car for his daily movements.
During an interview on Adom TV, he explained the moment of transition. “I had about eight personal cars, but I gave them all away until one day I was left with just one. However, God directed me to give that one out as well and walk. I gave it to Nicholas Omane Acheampong,” Badu Kobi stated. He noted that while the act was difficult, he felt a strong directive to follow through.
The outcome of this sacrifice arrived almost immediately, reinforcing his belief in spiritual rewards. That same evening, he was gifted a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, a significant upgrade from the vehicle he had surrendered. “That same night, someone gifted me a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. So, from the small car I gave away, I received a Prado, and within 13 days, people had gifted me about eight more cars,” he shared.
This incident is part of a much larger pattern of giving for the Prophet. He revealed that he has given away over 200 cars to a diverse group of people, including former classmates and church members. “At a point, I had given out over 200 cars. It was not easy, but whenever God directs me to do something, I follow through,” Badu Kobi concluded.
