Bonzo-Ewereko Boateng: Banning Voxys Won’t Stop Accidents

Ever wonder if banning a specific car actually makes roads safer? Some people think so, but Mathias Bonzo-Ewereko Boateng isn’t buying it. He’s speaking out against the move to stop Toyota Voxys from being used for commercial trips.

The National Road Safety Authority is worried about these cars, especially the ones changed from right-hand to left-hand drive. But Boateng thinks the focus is all wrong. He believes the real problem isn’t the machine, but who’s behind the wheel.

He put it simply, saying, “Motor accidents are inevitable. It depends on how careful drivers are, not necessarily the type of car,” according to Mathias Bonzo-Ewereko Boateng. He also noted that “This whole debate has to do with a lack of understanding of the issue.”

Instead of a total ban, he suggests a middle ground. He thinks limiting these cars to short distances would be a much more practical fix. It’s all about common sense over strict rules.
