Easter Monday in Takoradi turned the shoreline into one giant neighborhood reunion. Crowds quickly filled the sand at Vienna, Alan, and Last Hour spots to soak up the holiday sun. It was exactly the kind of relaxed, sunny day you want to spend with your favorite people.
Food vendors set up kebab and popcorn stands along the water while kids took turns riding horses on the wet sand. Families spent hours swimming, sharing snacks, and just enjoying each other’s company. The whole area felt like a massive, happy block party.
Mrs. Cecilia Mensah brought her kids down to celebrate and shared why the day matters so much to her. “On an occasion where Christ has risen, celebrating a day like this with my children means that we are having good times together to the glory of God.” She also reminded everyone to spread kindness and look out for each other.
The celebrations spilled into nearby malls and pubs, while a local church hosted a lively picnic with dancing for all ages. Mr. Michael Kwasi Teye joined the fun but gently reminded everyone to keep the peace and stay safe while they celebrated. Takoradi clearly knows how to turn a simple holiday into a lasting memory.
