Ghana-South Africa business chamber to increase investment in Ghana

The South African High Commissioner to Ghana, Grace Jeanet Mason, has announced that her government has officially approved an investment mission to Ghana scheduled for late March.

This initiative is a central part of post-pandemic recovery efforts aimed at strengthening economic ties and increasing capital flow between the two nations. The mission is set to take place in Tamale, a location selected following a detailed economic profiling of Ghana’s various regions by the High Commission.

The choice of the Northern Region reflects a strategic shift toward exploring regional economic potential outside of the capital. High Commissioner Mason expressed high expectations for this bilateral partnership, suggesting that the mission will serve as a catalyst for significant growth.

She projected that by 2023, the trade volume between South Africa and Ghana will triple its current trajectory, fostering a more robust and mutually beneficial investment climate.
