Labadi Beach Hotel shines with another record-breaking dividend payout of GH¢16.5m to SSNIT

Labadi Beach Hotel has reached a significant financial milestone by paying a dividend of GH¢16,509,000 to its sole shareholder, the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). During the hotel’s recent Annual General Meeting, leadership highlighted that this payment reflects the institution’s strong commercial performance and its status as a premier destination in West Africa’s hospitality sector.

Managing Director David Eduaful credited the achievement to the collective efforts of the staff and a consistent focus on providing high-value experiences for both local and international guests.

The hotel’s financial success follows a year of extensive industry recognition, including being named the CIMG Hospitality Facility of the Year and receiving top honors from the Ghana Tourism Authority. Board Chairman Professor Douglas Boateng noted that the hotel’s accomplishments are rooted in robust corporate governance and the operational autonomy granted by SSNIT, which has allowed the management to maintain international luxury standards.

These governance principles have enabled the hotel to remain a benchmark for excellence while fulfilling its financial obligations to the national pension trust.

Looking ahead, the management remains focused on strategic innovation and redefining the standards of luxury in Ghana. By prioritizing growth and maintaining the trust of its partners and shareholders, the hotel aims to build on its current momentum and continue its upward trajectory.

As a fully Ghanaian-owned entity under SSNIT, Labadi Beach Hotel serves as a successful model of how sound leadership and a commitment to quality can yield significant returns within the competitive regional tourism industry.
