Okyeame Kwame’s Hospital Gift to Ghana

So, the famous Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame is turning 50 soon. Instead of just having a big party, he’s building something really special for kids in his hometown.

He’s funding a new pediatric emergency unit at the Manhyia District Hospital. This is the same hospital where he received care as a baby, so it’s a very personal way for him to say thank you to his country.

He explained his thinking simply: “I think that for all that Ghana has given me, it will be fair to build a pediatric emergency unit at the Manhyia Hospital because that was where I got my postnatal service.”

The project will cost around a million dollars and he’s asking for help. A fundraising event is happening, and he says you can support with money or even just supplies to make it happen.
