Everyone blames the global economy when prices jump, but one Ghanaian politician says that’s only half the story. He argues the real trouble started long before the pandemic or the war in Ukraine hit our shores.

Suhuyini from the NDC party says the previous government built a shaky money plan that just couldn’t handle hard times. He points out they tried to sound the alarm back then, but the message got ignored. Even big financial groups like the World Bank and IMF noticed the exact same red flags.

He remembers telling folks that the system would crack under pressure, and sadly, it did. Instead of pointing fingers at outside events, he wants everyone to look at the choices made right here at home first.
Now that the tough times are here, he hopes leaders will finally learn from those old mistakes. Building a stronger economy means fixing the foundation before the next storm rolls in.
