Evangelist Yaw Siki recently opened up about a life-altering crash that shifted his entire trajectory. What began as a routine trip home ended in a violent collision that nearly cost him his life. This moment of crisis became the catalyst for a profound spiritual awakening and a new walk with Christ.

The incident happened after a planning session for a show at the Accra Mall. Around 10 p.m., Siki and his companions were heading back toward Tema, with Siki seated in the front passenger seat. It was a typical night on the road until they passed the toll booth and things took a turn.

Recalling the moments before the impact, Siki mentioned, “I fell into a slumber, and the next moment I heard my friend complaining about the driver.” He told his friend not to mind, but shortly after, he lost consciousness. The crash was severe; as Siki shared, “The car landed on its front, and I even broke a bone in my neck.”
Surviving the wreck forced Siki to reevaluate his life and the path he was on. He decided to leave his previous lifestyle behind, choosing instead to dedicate his life to faith and ministry. This transformation has since defined his identity as an evangelist.
The recovery process was bolstered by the presence of some of Ghana’s biggest music stars. When he finally woke up, he realized he wasn’t alone in his struggle. He noted, “When I regained consciousness, I saw R2Bees, Sarkodie, and Kwaw Kese around me.”
